TD says €1.6 billion ‘green budget’ a load of hot air from government

Public buses and trains powered by fossil fuels account for almost half of the government’s €1.6 billion ‘green budget’.

Officials have complied the first ever list of government spending that could be classed as environmentally friendly. It includes grants for electric cars, home insulation schemes and forestry.
