SVHG medical board urges government to approve new maternity hospital this week

A group representing 250 doctors in St Vincent’s Hospital has urged the government to approve the new National Maternity Hospital this week to avoid “further delays to this vital project”.

It comes ahead of the cabinet’s meeting on Tuesday where ministers are expected to give the go-ahead to the €800 million-plus project, despite calls from the opposition for further debate.
