The labelling of Taoiseach Leo Varadkar as a “Brexit buffoon” by a leading British tabloid newspaper has been criticised as “pathetic” by a senior minister.

The British edition of The Sun newspaper published an editorial yesterday in which it labelled Varadkar a “Brexit buffoon” and told the “naive young prime minister” to “shut his gob on Brexit and grow up”.
