State pays €2.8m in Moriarty legal fees

Bill includes over €500,000 to defend an action taken by Tipperary TD Michael Lowry

The state has paid out nearly €3 million in legal fees as a result of the ongoing fallout from the Moriarty Tribunal.

This includes more than €500,000 to defend an action taken by Tipperary TD Michael Lowry in his dispute over his own legal costs arising from the long-running tribunal.
