State in scramble to find room for refugees as system strains

In a flurry of phone calls last Friday evening, government ministers signed off on a range of emergency measures to address the worsening refugee accommodation crisis.
Roderic O’Gorman, the Minister for Integration, admitted earlier this month that the state could not guarantee that newly arrived refugees would not have to sleep rough.
