Sinn Féin has dropped its demand that DUP leader Arlene Foster step down ahead of the forthcoming power-sharing negotiations.

With voters in the North due to vote on a new Assembly on March 2, it is a further sign that Sinn Féin is now going to re-engage with the DUP, in a bid to avoid political stalemate and possible direct rule from Westminster.
