A scheme to help grow the number of Irish owned multinationals and large businesses by 50 per cent by the end of the decade will be launched by the government shortly, the Minister for Enterprise has said.

Speaking at the Oireachtas Committee on Enterprise, Simon Coveney said currently many successful and high-potential Irish companies reached a certain size and then decided to “cash in” by selling to larger, often foreign owned, multinationals.
