Richard Bruton is adamant the coalition is not simply repeating the mistakes of the past

It’s before 7am on Wednesday, October 14, the morning after the budget. Temperatures are close to zero degrees and Dublin’s Griffith Avenue is almost deserted, save for the odd hardy jogger – and a knot of people outside a nondescript house near Drumcondra Road. The house belongs to Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton.
