Seanad committee demands tax breaks for Brexit hit companies

Cross party group calls warns deal needed for businesses in need of support

A cross party Seanad committee has called for tax breaks for companies affected by Brexit.

Under current EU state aid rules, there are restrictions on such supports being given to businesses.

But the Seanad special select committee on Brexit said a deal was needed for companies most affected.

In its 73-page report, it said: "This may include tax breaks to companies involved in capital expenditure or providing additional supports to those whose operations ...
