Johnny Ronan said two years was too long to wait to have the development plan changed to allow buildings taller than seven storeys

High-profile property developer Johnny Ronan has told Minister for Housing Simon Coveney that rules which would prevent him building high-rise apartments in the Dublin docklands are “stupid”.

In a letter to the minister, Ronan said that current rules which limit residential development in Spencer Dock to under seven storeys are “not only wasteful, but also stupid”.
