Renua’s ethics officer resigned after he encountered obstacles when attempting to investigate a loan to the party from businessman Declan Ganley.

Karl Deeter resigned last month over delays in examining the circumstances surrounding a loan, understood to be for tens of thousands of euro, that Ganley gave to the party in the run-up to last February’s general election.
