Minister for Social Protection Leo Varadkar has a narrow lead over his main rival Simon Coveney in the race for the next leader of Fine Gael.
According to the latest Sunday Business Post/Red C poll, Varadkar is favoured by 29 per cent of voters to take over from Enda Kenny compared with 27 per cent for Coveney.
