The planning permission for the €600 million Galway Ring Road is set to be quashed because An Bord Pleanála failed to take account of the state’s new climate action plan.

The Friends of the Irish Environment group had taken a High court challenge last February against An Bord Pleanála’s decision to give the project planning permission.
