Planning bill sparks concern among Greens

Tightening of rules around judicial reviews could deny basic rights and lead to legal challenges, say party members

Tensions have begun to emerge in the Green Party over government plans for a “radical overhaul” of the planning system which could limit environmental challenges, the Business Post understands.

The concerns were sparked by a briefing from Department of Housing officials for the party’s TDs and senators last week.
