Minister challenges critics of direct provision centres

David Stanton, the Minister of State for Immigration, has challenged the critics of new rural direct provision centres to tell him where asylum seekers should go instead.

Four hotels are to be turned into direct provision centres - the Atlantic Lodge in Kenmare in Kerry, the Grand Hotel in Wicklow Town, the Caiseal Mara in Moville in Donegal and the Shannon Key West Hotel in Rooskey in Roscommon.
