O'Neill will lead the party into the Northern assembly elections

Sinn Fein has formally unveiled Michelle O’Neill as their new leader in the North.

O'Neill will replace Martin McGuinness, who has stepped down for health reasons, and she will lead the party in the Northern Ireland Assembly elections in March.

Should Sinn Fein win sufficient seats in the Northern assembly, O'Neill will become Deputy First Minister.
