A move by Taoiseach Micheál Martin into the Department of Foreign Affairs after the December reshuffle would be “problematic”, according to sources in Fianna Fáil.
While Martin has made no public pronouncements about what ministerial brief he would like to take when he rotates out of the Taoiseach’s office on December 15, there is speculation that he may seek the Foreign Affairs job currently occupied by Simon Coveney.
