The National Museum of Ireland has been mooted as one possible venue for the new Seanad

Senators are likely to be temporarily moved out of the Seanad chamber in Leinster House within the next year to allow for essential maintenance work on the building to be carried out.

No decision has been taken as to where senators will be moved.
