Former members ‘had to work non-stop’

The party of left-wing TD Paul Murphy is being torn apart by “internal faction fights”, according to former members.

There have also been complaints that the Socialist Party is putting its members under “extreme, manipulative pressure” to work non-stop on campaigns, leading to “long-lasting depression and anxiety”.

The criticisms are contained in an article on the blogging site of the confidential messaging platform Telegram by former members of the Socialist Party.
