The former Fianna Fáil minister Conor Lenihan has said the government should not have expelled a Russian diplomat after the Salisbury poisonings of a Russian double agent and his daughter.

The 55-year-old, who worked for a Russian oligarch in Moscow for four years, is currently seeking the nomination to run for Fianna Fáil in the European elections in Dublin this coming May.
