Lawyers: cut off water to defaulters

Solicitors have called for households to have their water supply cut off if they do not pay their water charges.

The Law Society is opposed to the current system that prevents a house being sold until the owner pays outstanding water bills. It means that landlords, in particular, can be delayed in selling their house if tenants have not made their water payment.
