Tony Blair’s spin doctor Alastair Campbell is no stranger to Dublin and he was before an Irish audience again last Saturday night – but this time in Paris at the Centre Culturel Irlandais, ooh-la-la, whatever that is.
Campbell was doing a public interview with the “equally charismatic Ryan Tubridy” (according to the publicity materials) about his Irish diaries, and he told the audience that during his days as a political journalist, one of his best sources about European summit meetings was Charlie Haughey.
