Last Post: Careful now, as we ponder the Seanad

The wise decision of the people not to abolish the Seanad was not reflected, alas, in public interest in last week’s debate on the Seanad’s future, conducted by the Senators themselves. The galleries were shamefully empty. Not even the guttersnipes of the vulgar press were present. But Last Post, needless to say, kept a close eye on proceedings.
