Land agency has secured just one extra housing site

The Land Development Agency (LDA) has secured only one further site to develop for housing since it was established.

The state body was formed last September to oversee a project to free up state lands and push through development of 150,000 homes over 20 years.

When it was launched, Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy said the LDA had secured agreements to develop eight state-owned sites primed for housing projects.
