International surrogacy should be allowed under specific conditions ⁠— Oireachtas committee

The use of international surrogacy by Irish couples should be facilitated under specific conditions, a special Oireachtas committee has recommended in a newly published report.

Parents of children born through international surrogacy have been campaigning in Ireland for a legal route to full parentage rights under Irish law, which currently the non-birth mother or non-genetic father doesn’t have access to.
