Independents want commitments before backing new FG taoiseach

Independent Alliance ministers are demanding that stalled health projects be fast-tracked before they support the election of a new Fine Gael taoiseach next month.

Alliance ministers will hold talks with the new leader of Fine Gael after their election, and will push for greater progress on a number of key areas. The group is unhappy that a number of issues in health have stalled in recent months.
