Simon Harris, the Minister for Justice and Fine Gael TD, has said his party “will not apologise for saying that we want to also help the squeezed middle”.

Harris said that the coalition is working “coherently and cohesively”, as he backed comments from Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, in which he said that Fine Gael’s housing priority was home ownership.
