Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald is going to survive the latest Maurice McCabe-related political scandal – but her ministerial reputation has been damaged.

She released the email (included at the end of this article) which she got back in May 2015 from an unnamed Department of Justice official to brief her on an issue which had risen in relation to the Garda whistleblower in May 2015.
