Fianna Fáil and their leader doth protest too much

If the figures after a general election come remotely close to Fianna Fáil and Sinn Féin being able to form a government, it will happen

The more the Fianna Fáil leader, Micheál Martin, protests his aversion to Sinn Féin, the more likely it is that his party will end up in government with the Shinners. The novel governmental arrangement that grew out of the uncertainty thrown up by last year’s general election is not working. Replacing Fine Gael with Fianna Fáil in a similar arrangement will not make it better.
