A former Fine Gael TD is set to mount a Dáil comeback after being forced to step down over the closure of his local hospital’s 24-hour A&E department.

Former Roscommon deputy Frank Feighan was heavily criticised locally for his decision to support the downgrading of emergency services at Roscommon hospital in 2011.
