FF says ‘firm assurances’ needed from Europe on border checks

Firm assurances are needed from the European Commission that there will be no physical checks at the border if Britain crashes out of the EU without a deal, according to Fianna Fáil.

The party has also warned that Ireland is in a “precarious” position at the current stage of negotiations.
