FF ramps up pressure to recognise Palestine

The Irish government will come under renewed pressure to formally recognise the state of Palestine later this month.

Fianna Fáil has secured cross-party support for a Dáil motion to formally recognise the right of Palestinian people to self-determination.

At present it has sufficient support to pass even without the minority government’s support.
