Exclusive: Irish voters tell government to reject all demands for a hard border
Over half of voters believe government’s no-deal preparations are inadequate
The government has been given a clear message by voters to hold on to the Brexit backstop and to refuse to put up any hard border infrastructure in the latest Sunday Business Post/Red C poll.
It comes at a time of growing frustration in the Irish government at repeated British demands to drop the backstop - the guarantee in the draft withdrawal treaty that there will be no hard border after Brexit on March 29.
