Enda Kenny: The arrival of the troika in Ireland was a 'bloodless coup'

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has described the arrival of the troika as a "bloodless coup" which resulted in harsh economic decisions for Ireland.

Speaking in Madrid at the annual conference of the European Peoples Party, of which Fine Gael is a member, Kenny claimed the coalition had steered the country out of recession.
