Fine Gael was left reeling last night by the general election result, as seats continued to tumble in counts around Ireland.
The party is facing the loss of seats right across the country, though fears that Fine Gael would lose its place as the Dáil’s largest party were easing last night, with party chiefs suggesting that it may end up with 50 seats or so. The party won 77 seats in the last election....
