DUP looking to ‘try something different’ on backstop impasse

Party’s MPs given a strong message by business and farming interests of the impact of Brexit on the North’s economy

The DUP MPs received a message from Northern businesses to call a halt to the ‘no-deal’ Brexit rhetoric at a recent trade event in Westminster.

The TradeNI organisation had brought hundreds of businesspeople there to promote its new economic strategy, badly needed given that the growth rate in the North is ‘bumping along’ at 1 per cent.
