A driving force for safer roads

RSA chair Liz O’Donnell reflects on her battle to reduce the drink-drive limit, her row with Shane Ross, and the need to get more gardaí out enforcing the laws

Road Safety Authority chair Liz O’Donnell is conscious of the need to practise what she preaches about safe driving on the roads. She is happy to confirm that she has no penalty points on her driving licence.

“I’m afraid to overtake and so is my partner. I’m a very careful driver,” she says.
