Donohoe warned over numbers not paying tax

Paschal Donohoe has been warned of the growing number of people no longer paying tax as a result of cuts to USC and income tax in recent budgets.

Ahead of October’s budget, the Minister for Finance’s officials have warned him in a briefing note that the number of people exempt from paying income taxes has grown in recent years as a result of government changes to bands and rates.
