Donohoe earmarks windfall tax for energy support extension
Finance minister says scheme may run on after end of February, but government is making ‘no commitments longer than six months’ as yet
Paschal Donohoe, the Minister for Finance, has said that he hopes to use the EU’s new windfall tax on energy companies to pay for any extension to the €1.2 billion energy support scheme for businesses.
