Crackdown on planning for house driveways along national roads

Transport Infrastructure Ireland ups its objections to applications due to road safety concerns

Ireland’s roads body has stepped up efforts to hinder the development of houses with driveways opening onto national roads.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) regularly issues advice to local authorities to help inform planning decisions. If the body disagrees with a ruling, it would appeal the decision to national planners An Bord Pleanàla.
