As he rose to deliver his first Budget speech as Public Expenditure and Reform Minister, Paschal Donohoe seemed a bit nervous this afternoon, his papers shaking ever so slightly in his hands.
In the public gallery, his wife, two children and his mother looked on as the Fine Gael minister ensured that most people will not be left short by Budget 2017.
