Casey wants a tilt at the Dáil ‘to give service in Ireland, in Donegal’

Former presidential candidate Peter Casey has said he would prefer to run for the Dáil than the European parliament.

He was the surprise runner-up in last year’s presidential election securing over 342,000 first-preference votes after a campaign dogged by controversy over comments he made about the Travelling community and welfare recipients.
