British government ignorance on border ‘beggars belief’, says London mayor

Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, has said that the lack of understanding of Irish issues among the British government “beggars belief”.

Khan, who visited Dublin last week in the first official visit by a London mayor to the Irish capital, praised the authors of the Good Friday Agreement and castigated British ministers who, he said, did not grasp its importance.
