British Brexit border paper an opening position

The policy paper is not the bottom line but "a grown-up start"

The British government had been criticised for its lack of concrete proposals on avoiding a hard border in the 14 months since the Brexit referendum.

Well, now we have the first look at them in the new 28-page position paper on ‘Northern Ireland and Ireland’. On first glance, it sounds terrific that the British government is expressing its determination to avoidany physical border structure.
