Given the history of the order, how could the government possibly have come to the deal it did with the Irish Sisters of Charity?

It took Minister for Health Simon Harris just a few short hours last week to discover the open wound he had stood on with his size nines when he declared that the Irish Sisters of Charity would be the ‘sole owners’ of the new National Maternity Hospital. Suddenly, this young, bright and apparently caring politician had waded into a deep muddy bog – one which is quite of his own making.
