Time for Corbyn to re-steer the HMS Brexit
Now that the specific realities of leaving the EU are evident, the British Labour leader has a historic opportunity - if he has the stomach for it - to demand a second referendum
Last December, Britain launched the first of two new aircraft carriers, HMS Queen Elizabeth. It’s an enormous ship, the biggest in the Royal Navy, weighing 70,000 tons, costing £3.1 billion and taking eight years to construct. According to the ship’s bombastic publicity hand-out, its deck space consists of four acres of “British sovereign territory”. Indeed.
