Some 389 residential properties worth over €1 million changed hands in Dublin this year, as well-heeled buyers continued to snap up trophy homes in the city’s most exclusive areas.

According to data compiled by the National Property Price Register, €4.35 billion worth of houses and apartments were sold in the city between January 2 and the end of the first week in December. In all, 11,772 sales were recorded.
