If Leo Varadkar wants to show that he views all classes of fraudster equally, he needs to be here spearheading innovative proposals

I have a theory: that Taoiseach Leo Varadkar was so dumbfounded by Frances Fitzgerald’s weak white collar crime proposals that he made sure he was geographically as far away as possible when they were announced with pomp and ballyhoo outside government buildings during the week. About 8,000 kilometres’ distance in California should do it, he thought.
