Surviving the health ministry
If all one has to do in the ministry is survive for a relatively short time, surely there is no incentive to deliver on any major reform
There is no shortage of commentators in Irish public life who seem to have the answer to every problem. As a society, we need their fresh perspectives and the challenge they bring to conventional wisdom. But sometimes I wonder: what if these people had the opportunity to be government ministers? Stephen Kinsella as Minister for Finance, Jack O’Connor as Minister for Jobs, or Professor John Crown as Minister for Health?
