Paschal Donohoe won’t exactly be ecstatic with the latest tax revenue release, seeing as the overall tax take is still below target for the year.
However, it could be a lot worse for the new finance minister, with the gap between target and outturn narrowing to just 0.5 per cent, or €110 million.
